1810 Tabor Street back yard stone work

Objectives are to:

     1. remove/replace/lower the original rock boundary between the middle and upper patios; and

     2. grout/mortar the flagstones in the middle and upper patios.

Here is a photo to help orient you, and here is a slide show with specific shots of the areas.

The staircase connecting the lower pond area to the middle patio area has been grouted/mortared into place and has served us very well. However, the middle patio and the upper patio flagstones have not been grouted/mortared into place, the results being that there are weeds between the stones, the stones tend to settle out of level, and it is always a muddy mess when we pressure-wash. The upper patio area was not made so as to drain, so water accumulates there in a puddle.

The original middle patio design included a rock wall/border which was not removed when the newer, upper patio area was created. That little rock wall/border now creates a tripping hazard and should be removed and replaced with the flat flagstone material present on each side of the rock wall/border.
